Day 22

Darryl didn't know about my mayoral run idea, at all. I'd only talked about the new major political party concept.

I didn't know about my mayoral bid until two days before the deadline. Months previous, I'd had the idea that a run for mayor might get my name known. It was such a yucky thought that I put it aside and let it get muddied.

I was like most people.
Most don't think the mayoral job is for them.
Most don't feel brave enough, nor bothered enough, to pursue it.

Then, I entered that classic private solo tussle, and then did it.

The following day I offered Darryl the Wikipedia page on my phone. Number ten candidate was off screen.
Darryl scrolled.
He was ok with it.
As the days go on, that's the nicest aspect of my mayoral run.

Darryl's workmates were talking about the negatives regarding various candidates. My name wasn't mentioned.

That's a good start
Yip yip
That's what it is

"Didn't you ask them what they think of me being in there too?"
