Day 40 #6

Candidate Responses
(with my occasional engaging in italics)

Stevey Chernishov 19th Sept

Thanks for your reply. I have read about half of your blog (from the end through to the middle); so see a bit of context but certainly not the whole picture.

Regarding your position - you are a clever lady, with refined writing & strength. I admire that. Regarding your issues with Ludlow. I feel that while your Blog contains some ideas for the future, I mostly find it draining to consume. Ultimately, apparat from exposing issues & narrating on experiences - what would you like it to achieve Jacqueline?

[Stevey then followed up with two quotes from the Bible]
[I am somewhat bemused by Stevey's "thanks for your reply". I had received nothing from Stevey previously.]

So - it's ok by you that Ludlow destroy my right to speak, so long as I'm the only one who suffers/feels drained?
I'm answering you back.

Respond if you want.

Your first response is the one that will be published, as I stated.

Update -
Next day, Stevey keeps sending me Bible passages!

Eventually I give it to him -

Stevey ~ "....and strengthen you in every good deed...."

Like telling our community that you are a leader who gives out Bible verses when somebody is bullied by your contemporary?
I'm going to make you stop.
See my Day 40 #6 for updates.

And the zm still wouldn't stop!
Many more zm words followed.

Stevey ~ What is your definition of a bully?

Plus much more from the Bible, including....
Stevey ~ "....agree with one another...."

.....You'd be a great Gloriavalian shepherd dear Stevey!

Finally, I've plugged that dyke I think.
Let's hope.

A spanner in the works.
I sent my letter to Stevey, Malcolm Loan, Ian Pottinger, Nobby Clark and Sir Tim, followed by this request to the ICC -

Tena koe Michael,

Please could you forward me the list of all the candidates for mayor, council and ILT with the contact details.

I'm not managing to find this online.

Kia ora

[the website is down, 4:45pm]

20th Sept, evening
Each mayoral candidate has now received this request.

Later evening
Every candidate now has my letter, except for six which I will slow post.

21st Sept, mid day
Received a threat from one of the Socialist woman candidates who wants everything to be secretive amongst the nasty bloc, and threatening toward me.
This candidate tells me to to remove her contact from my list.
Shouldn't she be asking Michael Morris at the council to do that?

Secrecy!
Oh, colour All Us Moderates surprised!
From community leaders!
Who?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
During my campaign I am sharing my views and experiences within the law, as those who purport to represent the community must.
Ria Bond, you publicly endorsed a community big bully.
You have now officially passed up a good opportunity to rethink that.
You chose him and he chose you. It kindof looks like you're in bed together.
Toni chose him too.
Threesomes?
Noel Peterson 22 Sept
Hi Jacqueline,
Kia ora, thanks for sharing your views of how you see the current political landscape, though I must say many of your thoughts are quite radical and go against the majority views on which
democracy was established many centuries ago and is currently based, though fluid and forever changing.
Go against?
I feel quite the opposite.
My views appear to be mainstream and flowing with our Kiwi spirit.
Democracy, yes - I am fighting hard for us all.
It's only for a few weeks.
My thinking is you belong to a collective group - groups of folk who have and are entitled to a voice in the democratic process regardless of how radical your views seem to the majority of folk who are mostly more moderate in their views.
If Noel wishes to belong to All Us Moderates he is welcome!
Green wizardry is radical (and stupid).
A little wee mother from the south is normal and belonging with
the Majority.
Noel writes like a zm.
He talks to me like one too.
A collective group?
I think so too, but Noel cannot get it into his head that I am the instigator of this political movement, all on my own, and I live this with joy and sanity, because I know that I belong to
the Majority, despite being isolated morally.
I know - not just believe. There is a difference.
I tend to group non-officially registered political party collective political groups and non-collective groups in the “same basket” so to speak, and for my own personal convenience call this the “Purple Party” a collective which does not yet exist as an official political party. Though I do hear of talk suggesting there are some groups considering coalescing with some current registered minor political parties, which to date has not occurred as no one can agree on a united direction.
All Us Moderates could work.
During my independent campaign, I feel a belonging with this political movement.
I feel - that's powerful.
All political movements & parties started in this way, I respect your convictions to this political direction and note perhaps one day a new political landscape will arise as you wish, though perhaps unlikely in our lifetimes.
Ahh, words of encouragement from Noel, not.
As for myself I have a bipartisan approach to politics - prepared to listen to and talk with people of all political affiliations and philosophies, though personally remaining “central middle of the road” so to speak, neither left or right to any extreme.
If Noel read my blog with an open mind he might see that this political movement is for the Majority and that he is way off center and no way near bipartisan. He's a confused Socialist.
Like you the way media portrays politics is of interest to me, something which I consider far to big to challenge effectively as an individual, something that is being discussed nationally and evolving, a matter of opinion as to weather I’s evolving the way we may want, we all have different views.
Noel provided the following comment in the Free Speech Union's  questionnaire for candidates -
"free speech is something I stand up for, though some forms of hate and bullying are an exemption"
"Some forms" of bullying, hey Noel?
Only some??
Where does my Ludlow issue sit along your scale of importance?
The
Free Speech Union questions also highlight that Noel is undecided about whether hate speech laws should go ahead.
Again, Noel belittles me simply because he cannot accept that I have been leading Stuff during my campaign.
One little person can.
That said with the advent of technology the whole process is changing rapidly, we can all live in hope the future bodes well for us all.
No, we cannot all live in hope.
That's not how hope works.
Hope is entirely subjective within each individual.
It either works or it fails.
When it fails, one finds a new hope, alone, independently of others. Otherwise, it's not hope.
I think Noel is behaving with cowardice.
Our community needs real men to do what's right.
What was my letter to the other candidates about?
I bettya Noel wouldn't try this nonsense on with a man.
Consider this my one and only comment to you currently, life and other priorities take precedence in my world over futuristic “what may or should happen” political debate, no doubt you already connect with, and will continue to connect with, many other like-minded to yourself folk who are interested in such debate.
No, I don't.
I've already made clear that I belong only with my family.
The whole province knows this is true of me.
After this campaign I will go back to complacency and apathy regarding politics.
As this is Noel's one and only comment time regarding Ludlow's bullying, it's looking like he only has the gossip option open to him now if he wishes to further think this issue through.
Meddling and gossip - and delaying tactics - are anathema to the voters and rate payers.
We suffer from poor quality candidacy.
I appreciate your response Noel. Thank you.
I hope life treats you well.
Kia ora.
I'm supposing the actual job of mayor would be easier than this campaign.
