Day 48
Today we especially remember the late Queen Elizabeth.
I've been out and about, risking more.
Not so, Blair Jackson of Stuffed.
Best to start from the beginning for this post -
Bloggafeared Blair's and Wannabe Mayor's messages are shared below.
[...] indicates unwritten thoughts.
24 Aug
I'm a reporter for Stuff and The Southland Times. I'm writing an article and ringing a host of candidates today. Is there a time in the next few hours we can speak over the phone?
Hi Blair, nice to hear from you. In my situation [thinking of Ludlow] it's appropriate that I provide written statements only.
1. How do you feel about people entering council buildings without a mask?
When
I arrived (unmasked) with my candidacy form I advised the staff member
sitting with me that I was happy to pop one on if she desired. I think
it's a matter of communicating and each being true to ourselves.
2. How do you feel about people not using council services without the vaccine?
From the outset I disapproved of mandating citizens out of public areas, mainly because the science was not settled and all indications were that the covid issue was being politicised.

3. Is it important you share accurate information?
It is vitally important that civic leaders share accurate information, and in times of uncertainty to abstain from knee jerk reactions - thereby representing the local citizens. I like to say to people that we belong to All Us Moderates.

4. What is local government's responsibility regarding man-made climate change?
Man-made
climate change is also an issue that has far too much politicisation
about it. I would like to see this change, for the sake of our youths'
well being. A mayor with common sense and energy could do wonders in
this area. I believe in caring for our environment where it depends upon
me personally. Elite believing becomes a dogmatic bother we must refuse
to engage with.
5. What do they feel about the relationship between central and local government?
Traditionally, local government officials do the central government's bidding, which I normally agree with. By necessity, I would be your protesting mayor. We do things our way in the south; we are great leaders within New Zealand. Another catch phrase - We are doing this. Hopefully, our central government can hack the pace of our peaceful protesting.

6. Do you feel the protest at parliament, which ended March 2, 2022, was justified?
The
February Parliament Protest was unique. Many Kiwis believe that this
will go down in national history as vital and justified.
[followed by small chat]
Hope you're not experiencing pressure from further up the chain.
I know what that's like!
What do you mean?
Never mind.
You run your race, I'll run mine.
28 Aug
Can the host of candidates expect their responses to be published soon?
Um, a question -
How do you and other Stuff colleagues feel about Paula Penfold's documentary?
Playing fair, Blair?
1 Sept
I'm putting the finishing touches on my article. Can I ask one more question: Why are you running for mayoralty?
It's gotten to
the point where we need a protesting mayor. I think this is the most
honourable type of leadership for the south at this time in history and I
believe it is representative of the Majority.
Does All Us Moderates include you Blair?
I
could say a lot more about why I joined the mayoral race. Perhaps you'd
like to share the link to my campaign diary with the public.
Thank you for getting onto your article.
I look forward to seeing how I am represented.
I look forward to seeing how I am represented.
I
ask you to understand that I did not join this race in order to
complain about others. (I had already moved on from the RS
disappointment.) This issue was not a part of my decision making
regarding the mayoral bid.
I joined because we need servant leadership.
Three
nights before, I had a call with another candidate. I went to bed
thinking, 'phew', that person sounds like they have it sussed - there's
no need for me to consider this inkling any further.
But, I
woke up feeling the opposite. The candidate I spoke with hadn't eased my
mind that they understand our vital need to lay aside all forms of co
governance and partnership notions. I woke up realising that that
candidate would probably just puddle around in the status quo and become
cozy and unrepresentative of our citizens. It was only the gift of the
gab politician talk which I had accepted when tired the previous
evening.
That morning, I also had text
communication with that candidate. They were not able to assure me that
they understand the harm caused by covid decisions, therefore if
something like this (central government overreach) occurs again, I
wondered whether they might be heartless toward our citizens. This was
confirmed by a terse text response to what had been a friendly exchange.
Long story short ---- I couldn't not stand!
[This candidate is Ria Bond, which I kept confidential until later when her Group Think mindset streaked at the Youth Forum meeting. She wallops other's speech, like Ludlow. This was further confirmed by her publicly endorsing Ludlow and by her intimidating message in response to my community work with this blog.]
I hope that Stuff's old news as promised is less abusive than all the times of refusing to share new news.

Today, 26 Sept
[Blair rang]
Out and about ATM. Missed yr call sorry. Best to write down what you're wanting.
Hi Jacqueline, I've been sick for a couple of weeks so sorry for the delay. Do you have 10 minutes for an interview over the phone?
Sorry to hear that. I hope you're recuperating well.
It's getting late in the campaign now and I've been busy foot working.
I'm discovering that all's not lost for me as a late comer.
It seems that I really am the voice of the silent majority.
What would you like to discuss?
I'm writing a story about your blog.
My questions are:
1. Why do you refer to women as the weaker sex?
2. Why is it "wonderful not being a feminist"?
3. Why are there too many women who have "the grouped up gumption to lead or community right smack into disaster"?
4. Why do you hate "talking up women"?
5. Do you think men make better leaders than women? Why? If so why are you running for mayor?
6. Why have you threatened journalists in your blog? Namely saying Paula Penfold is "high for the jump" and telling me that "life is risky for all of us"?
7. What does "woketardish" mean and why was the August 17 candidates meeting woketardish?
[What's this inner voice saying?
"Don't respond.
"I know that!"]
[And texted Blair]
It
sure is tricky speaking against elitism and/or tribal takeovers. I'm
finding that I'm the only candidate voice for the Majority. We're doing
ok thank you.
[As an aside, I met
an uncle of Gannin Ormsby today. He lives just down the road from one of us within this silent Majority - as you'd expect in New Zealand.
Ormsby is the husband of long term MP Nanaia Mahuta.
The Mahuta corp is the one which keeps getting taxpayers' money unfairly and then not being able to show any good from the spending.
Uncle didn't like my Stop 3 Waters banner, and his neighbour could never be one to understand that I'm pretty good at pushing back on old boys' networks and surviving. I took the hint.]

[How does Michael Fallow feel about Stuff harassing me?
Michael? Where are you?]
Michael? Where are you?]
