Day 52, rua
Tena koe Natasha,
Kia ora,
I am Southland's favourite mayoral candidate. As a late comer I started out feeling inferior and unsure at the beginning of my campaign. At the time, this was the prime indication that I was representative of the Majority and had made the right decision.
My personal vindication soon began adding up as I engaged with voters, and my concept of becoming the mayor has become easier.
I think it could be helpful to our community if Stuff were to host a live mayoral debate/forum for candidates to present themselves at this stage of the campaign.
Such an item could possibly raise voter engagement?
Personally, I have spent significant private resources in my totally independent bid to present my servant-hood leadership to our community, and the other candidates will have also done so. Stuff's non partisan involvement would be much appreciated I am sure.
If you do take up my suggestion please be aware that having Blair Jackson involved would be inappropriate, as this reporter is unprofessional, having subjected me to his aggressive behaviour. I submit to you that Jackson's involvement would disadvantage our community. It is clear that he researches, and then deliberately sets about to misinform the public either actively or by omission.
I hope you are well, and I wish you well.
I understand now what is meant by 'the funny season'! I am enjoying this experience of connecting with others who also live by our Kiwi way of laughing over crying matters.
Nga mihi
Dear reader,
I'll have you know that I successfully resisted the urge to add 'sheepie' to the 'nga mihi' (means 'be strong' - last time I checked) for this letter to Natasha Holland, Stuff's southern editor.
A few months ago, 'nga mihi, sheepie' was my one and only naughty, and final, exclamation to Ludlow - after his senseless, lengthy, endless provocations got the better of me. He kept signing off with 'be strong' while harassing me!
Have you ever noticed that bossy wahine and their enablers are accepted within New Zealand society - even celebrated - but there's a different standard for the likes of me and everyday wahine? For certain, Ludlow would have succumbed to the law book if it had been a woman of a different colour and/or demeanour approaching our community access radio station.
He would have respected the law either immediately, according to his job description, or by being brought to account by the loud minority - if my identity was with these sadists.
What do you think are our chances of a Stuff hosted mayoral debate?
I'm so pugnaciously over my shyness on your behalf that I really do hope they call my bluff.
(Yes, I do make use of the thesaurus - quite a bit.)
The crying matter I was thinking of is that our local is called The Southland Times.
